This app allows you to embed external content directly into HubSpot records. In this article, we’ll focus on embedding images via links — one of the most practical use cases for sales and RevOps teams.


Why Images in HubSpot Records Matter

Visual context can save your team time and reduce miscommunication. For example:

  • Sales teams can attach product images or pricing visuals directly to deals.

  • Customer success teams can add screenshots of customer issues or onboarding progress.

How Data Bridge Works

Data Bridge adds a custom card to HubSpot records. On this card, you can insert content by pasting a link. If you are on HubSpot Professional or higher, you can also display this content as a separate tab next to "Overview" and "Activities".

When it comes to images, you have two main options:

  1. Embed as Image – the picture itself is shown directly inside the record.

  2. Embed as iFrame – instead of the image, you’ll see a text placeholder of your choice (e.g., Click to view contract image). This is useful if you want a clean record without large visuals, but still keep quick access.


Step-by-Step: Embedding an Image

  1. Install Data Bridge from the HubSpot Marketplace.

  2. Go to any deal, company, or contact record.

  3. Click Customize -> Default View -> Add card ->  Card Library 
  4. Find Data Bridge and click Add card.
  5. On the Data Bridge card, click Add->  Type -> Image or Embedding / Inserting.

  6. Paste the image link (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/product-image.png).

  7. Choose the mode:

    • Image Mode – displays the picture instantly in the record.

    • iFrame Mode – shows your custom label text instead of the picture.


  8. Save — and you’re done.

👉 Pro tip: If your image is stored in Google Drive, make sure the sharing settings are set to Anyone with the link can view.


Using the Action Panel

Every link you add to Data Bridge comes with an Action panel (the right-side bar in HubSpot). Here you can:

  • Open the image as a module view inside the Action panel (great for quick previews).

  • Open the image fully in a new tab by clicking the link.

This flexibility means you don’t have to clutter your record with big visuals, but you still keep fast access when needed.

Real Use Cases for HubSpot Users

Here are a few scenarios where RevOps and sales teams can benefit:

1. Product and Service Images in Deals

Embed product visuals directly into deal records. Sales reps can preview them in-line or open them in full-screen when presenting.

2. Customer Screenshots for Support
